We are recruiting an experienced Tendering and Service Delivery Manager to manage and develop our tendering service and manage the service delivery to SME and mid-market clients.  Career development opportunity to lead, develop and grow key business area.   • Provide leadership, motivate, develop and inspire the team
  • Make the tendering and services delivery as lean and efficient as possible
  • Create an environment of success for the sales team (no trip hazards or time bandits)

Core areas of responsibility

  1. Tendering/Procurement Services
    • Fixed price auctions for gas and electricity using Beond’s proprietary energy auction platform
    • Manage water tendering service
    • Manage the Utilities Direct pricing engine for micro business sales (gas, electricity and water)
    • Supplier driven flex products
    • System data quality and integrity
    • Supply contract terminations, registration confirmations and objections
  2. Service Delivery
  • Ensure smooth delivery of the reporting and portfolio management services to SME and mid-market clients as per the services below:
    • Procurement services
    • Market intelligence
    • Reporting
    • Portfolio management & bureau services
    • Value added services (new connections, renewable technology etc)
  • Service enhancements
  • Implement gas, electricity and water auditing service
  • Create basic flex desk/service in the Commercial team
  • Tariff optimisation service
  • Internal and external stakeholder management
  1. Supplier relationship management
  • Responsible for energy supplier relationship management
  • Maintaining relationships (meetings/supplier events)
  • Create and maintain supplier metrics
  • On-boarding new suppliers
  • Manage new supplier due diligence process
  1. Team management and personal development
    • Provide leadership, motivate and manage a team of 4 (currently). This team will grow over time
    • Create and deliver a team operational plan
    • Manage Personal Development Framework (PDF) plans, appraisals, training and development
  2. Management reporting
    • Produce key business unit performance metrics including but not limited to:
    • Registrations – objections/rejections
    • Suppliers – participation, contracts/meters/volume won, revenue exposure
    • Auctions run, bids loaded and meters tendered
    • Sales completed reports
    • Workload/resource requirement forecasts

We are looking for someone with at least 5 years’ experience in the energy markets within the retail energy sector.

Required skills and experience include tendering and procurement, team leadership, analytical skills, experience of people management, inter-personal and good communication and presentation skills.

Experience with flexible purchasing would be an advantage.

Energy Consultant – Service Delivery

This pivotal role is required to manage the service delivery to Beond’s existing mid-tier clients by understanding the agreed service levels, the clients’ demands and the commercial context. You will proactively contact your defined portfolio of clients to maintain a consistently high level of service delivery to ensure high client satisfaction to ultimately retain the client.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the delivery of services as agreed between the Consulting Director/Manager and the client
  • Be the dedicated point of contact for your defined list of clients
  • Manage and maintain the Client Support Plan (CSP) to deliver above and beyond expectations.
  • Proactively communicate with your clients in line with the agreed Contact Management strategy, to ensure they are happy
  • Project management of the roll-out of all services and working closely with the relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure that services are understood and implemented in line with clients’ expectations
  • Provide monthly reporting (For example Client at Risk, service delivery and on boarding reports)
  • Ensure the relevant systems such as Salesforce and Teamwork, are up to date
  • Daily liaison with other members of the team to provide information and ensure that customers receive excellent customer service

The core service delivery areas are listed below;

  • Supply Contract Procurement (Gas, Elec and Water)
    • Agree procurement strategy in line with the CSP
    • Oversee tender setup and auction date
    • Tender results analysis and recommendation
  • Portfolio Management:
    • Resolving billing, metering and contractual issues.
    • Bill validation support
  • Reporting
    • Data services (KVA and consumption analysis)
    • Risk Management reports
  • Market Intelligence
    • Market report subscription management
    • Ad hoc news alerts
  • Technology advisory, Energy Services & Infrastructure Services
    • Project team point of contact
    • Opportunity identification
    • Arrangement of MOp contracts and new meters

 

Key Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of utility industry experience and
  • A minimum of 3 years of customer service experience
  • Self-starter, highly organised with strong time management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Display commercial acumen
  • You see ‘attention to detail’ as a key skill of yours
