Beond is a zero-carbon energy consultancy and software services business providing innovative procurement, energy management and distributed energy services to energy consumers; underpinned by expert professional consultants and cutting-edge software.

 

We help our clients deal with energy and sustainability challenges in a rapidly changing and complex market as new regulations and technologies are introduced in response to global climate change. Our service helps businesses keep their energy costs as low as possible within this complex environment while rewarding them for tackling climate change.

 

Beond is building a new sales team to accelerate the growth of their Zero Carbon Project, which aims to solve climate change by rewarding consumers for switching to zero carbon energy. Their proprietary Zero Carbon Market can deliver cost savings to consumers while switching them to their choice zero carbon energy technologies including Beond’s own proprietary ‘Green Moments’ pure renewables offering. It is not essential to have energy industry experience.

We are looking for a target driven, commercially aware individual to help generate new opportunities for the public sector and commercial teams at Beond. You will start in a lead generation position, which is designed to equip you with all the skills required to become a fully-fledged client facing consultant. It is expected that you will graduate to consultant level after 18 months, possibly sooner. During the initial 18mths period you will be part of the following learning and development framework;

Months 12-18 will be focussed on developing your consulting skills as you evolve into a client facing consultant. By this stage you will have;

  • Developed strong lead generation and qualification skills
  • Developed skills to unmask clients’ needs/pains
  • Have a solid understanding of UK energy market fundamentals
  • Have a solid understanding of Beond’s services
  • Have experience of the tender process
  • Have experience of client facing meetings
  • The confidence to develop their own portfolio of clients

At consultant level, you will be given a portfolio of clients to support as well as separate growth targets in line with the business’s objectives. Prior to this, you will develop your skills in the lead generation role for the first 18 months.

Main duties include

  • Cleansing data and sourcing new leads in the relevant target markets
  • Targeted calling to non-domestic energy consumers to assess their appetite to use our services
  • Setting up qualified appointments where there is tangible interest in our services
  • Work with the marketing and sales teams to create and run targeted campaigns
  • Achieving daily and monthly KPI targets
  • Following up unsuccessful or rescheduled calls
  • Keeping up to date notes on the company’s CRM system (SalesForce)
  • Attending prospective client meetings with the relevant consulting director, when appropriate
  • Work with the relevant consulting director to put together high quality and professional proposals when appropriate
  • Full commitment to the learning and development framework and keeping up to date on market news.

  • Number of leads cleansed
  • Cleansed data completion percentage
  • Number of demo’s booked and delivered
  • Number of meetings booked and delivered
  • Demo/appointment setting quality ratio
  • Number of bills/letters of authority received

  • University degree with good academic results

Desirable competencies, skills & experience:

  • 1 Year B2B telesales experience

We are looking for someone with a keen interest in zero carbon energy, who can demonstrate past achievements and who shares our core company values of Integrity, Quality and Innovation.

Base salary will commence at £25k with the prospect to increase rapidly as skills are developed and the ability to deliver is demonstrated. Additionally you will be offered an attractive incentive commission structure from commencement.

The role is full time and will be based in Chiswick, West London. Candidates should have the legal right to work in the UK.
